A wire hanger, piece of 2 by 4, & scrap wood makes a holiday tree. I made and shared another tree made similar using spindles and an ornament tree. This one could be made if you don't have an ornament tree sitting around. The "tree" can be 1 by 2 wood for a planked look, or spindles or even branches from the yard.
We have a rustic style in our home so I chose to age my wood. The tree could be painted any color to fit your style and home.

The base is 2 by 4 pieces held together with wood glue or use twine!





I used scrap 1 by 2 wood for a planked look and spindles for the other tree.





My scrap wood was from another project that had paper glued to an edge. I left the paper because I looked like snow.





Branches from the yard would work too! This could be painted for many different styles and rooms. I wanted mine rustic with aged wood.
