I'm one of those people who love to go all out for Christmas. If there's a bare corner in the house, it needs to be decorated. I had a small wall in our entry that needed something special and after a wander of the craft store, I was inspired to make this Winter Rudolph Wreath. I love the white on white with that hint of sparkle and the pop of color from the pinecones and nose.I started with a plain paper mache deer head and a styrofoam wreath form. I have been slowly filling my house with animals with antlers and this is such a perfect addition!I took some fluffy white yarn and wrapped it around the wreath form. I used a chunky white. I wanted that extra fluffy look.I then moved to working on the deer head. I painted the whole thing white.I added decoupage to the antlers and covered them in Buffalo Snow Flakes. I love the iridescent sparkle!I painted the face and ears with a coat of silver glitter paint. I wanted just enough for the glitter to sparkle, but not enough to take away from the white.I glued the head to the wreath once everything was dry.And then it was time for that awesome pop of color! I found miniature pinecone and berry picks and stuck them straight into the wreath.I couldn't quite decide if I wanted to keep the red nose or not, so I compromised and used poster putty so that the nose could be easily removed and I could keep the wreath up for the entire winter. I grabbed a red felt ball and stuck it on. I love that this wreath can instantly go from Christmas to winter with one small detail! It's a wreath that my girls and I all love and it makes us smile every time we walk past. For full details on the products I used, please check out my blog post!Original article and pictures take http://www.hometalk.com/11484345/winter-rudolph-wreath site
