Santa Hat Tomato Cage

I love those Christmas Tree tomato cages, so I bought a pack of 10 tomato cages to make them for this Christmas. Then, one of mine got bent, and I thought it would look super cute as a Santa Hat, so here's how I did it!

For one Santa Hat, you'll need these supplies. (I did not end up using the 21-inch white deco mesh. I only used the short one.)

I made it similar to the Christmas tree versions. But I just bent it over more and more to one side and stuck a styrofoam ball on the points. Then, I used zip ties to wrap lights around the entire thing.

I worked first on the bottom of the hat and used white deco mesh tied on with white pipe cleaners. Then, I started just under the styrofoam ball and tied the deco mesh around the cage with red pipe cleaners. For this part, I would tie it the tomato cage about 2-4 ties and then I would wrap deco mesh around those tie ons to hide them.

To keep it standing outside, I used garden staples around the base of the tomato cage so it wouldn't blow away.
