They Saw Scrap Wood but I Saw This!

There's construction across the street with a scrap wood pile. The worker were planning on hauling the scraps to the landfill or burn it. I asked if I could gather some for DIY projects. As soon as I saw the first block I knew what it secretly was.
The more I dug through the pile more I found the perfect pieces to this easy DIY project.

Here's the pieces I gather for this project. I didn't even have to do any cutting!





I painting all sides for the six pieces of wood in a snowy white paint.





Then I gathered 4 large buttons and made buttons from 4 wood disks.





I painted the wood disks black and added burlap thread.





The buttons are eyes and the wood disks are buttons.





Dressed warm are our front porch snowmen. They are keeping an eye on the construction workers! They are much happier on the porch than in the landfill or as smoke in the air!
