A few years ago, my husband asked me why the 10 Commandments weren't hung in our house. I never found a sign that I really LOVED and fit my décor. So it finally occurred to me to make one out of old barn wood. It took a lot of work, but I am so pleased and can't wait to surprise him with it on his birthday. (yes it took me years to think of this) I sanded the wood smooth and painted with a flat latex paint. I printed out the words in some favorite fonts and printed it on a transparency. I used my projector to transfer the words to the board, then used a black paint pen on most of the block words. I used a small brush for the script words and numbers because they are slightly a grey color though the photo doesn't really show that. This lovely is about 4 ft high and 2 ft wide. I think we will cherish it forever.
