Painted DIY Ornament With Frosty Monograms

It's easy to turn plain glass ornaments into bright colorful ones. You can even add frosty monograms for an extra special look!

Start with plain glass ornaments, like these ones from Hobby Lobby. You'll need acrylic paints in your choice of colors (I'm using red and white).





After taking all the tops off the ornaments, pour a little paint into each one. Rotate it and roll it to spread the paint around.





Once it gets hard to simply move the paint by tilting the ornament, tap your hand onto the ornament. The movement will shake the paint and get it moving. It will help to cover the end with some paper towel. You can see that my sweet hubby did this craft with me. Yay for making memories together, even after 23 years of marriage!! :)





WOW, the painted ornaments look fabulous, don't they?! The colors are SO bright and because the paint is on the inside, you don't ever have to worry about it fading or coming off!
Leave them overnight with the tops open so they can dry out. Then they'll be ready to hang on the tree. But don't forget we were going to add some frosty monograms. Let me show you how awesome they look.
