Dated Bath Gets a Twist.

After our toilet needed to be replaced, the new "white" toilet just made everything look less appealing.

This is the small 50's era bathroom whose walls were kept light to give a bigger feel. The new white porcelain made everything else look dull. In this picture, the radiator cover was already removed for a sanding and a fresh coat of bright white.

Next up was to remove the elephant in the room. The impossible to keep clean shower doors. It was actually easy to remove and the caulking came off nicely with some Comet and elbow grease.

A cured shower bar was hung and a bright, clean and fun curtain was added.

Walls were painted to match the 50's accent tile. This was the first time I strayed away from Behr paints and used Valspar. Not as happy with the application and with Behr...but it is pretty. I found a stencil that was "leafy" and after measuring out (not difficult) stenciled away with the same color as the radiator cover..bright white.

My husband, a history buff, had received a book of WWII propaganda posters from our daughter. He meticulously cut them out and framed them and suddenly our bathroom had a theme.
