This is one of my favorite craft ideas this year!
Some things from around the house....and a less than $5 item from Home Depot are all you need to get started!
Gather up your Solar Crackle Glass ornament from Home Depot, a mason jar, wired ribbon, wire, scissors, and rock salt!Voila!! A beautiful pattern will appear in your window, your ceiling....and its all created without electricity!Assemble all your ingredients!
Jar, rock salt, wired ribbon, florist's wire, and your solar crackle glass globe from Home Depot....and scissors!Disconnect the "candy cane" part by simply twisting offAdd rock salt to your jar....almost to the top with a little space to accommodate the globe stemthere you go!!now it's Bow Time!Make one center loop, then continue bending your wired ribbon back and forth until you get the size you like....after making a large LOOP on the bottom - which will be the tails....Bend a piece of wire - about 14 inches long - in half. Place the center "fold" through the middle of your bow, then twist it tight by spinning the bow around! Leave your wire tails as this is what you will use to secure the bow to your jar!Pull the large bottom loop down until you have its center point. Cut!Fold the ends of the cut loop in half and cut at an angle to one end point!Secure your bow around the lowest ring on the neck of your jar!Making use of the wired ribbon, fluff and primp your bow to your liking!
Insert your globe into the rock salt, twisting to secure it....
Set your finished project in an area where it can absorb sunlight....and then.....Original article and pictures take http://www.hometalk.com/11418231/solar-mason-jar-crackle-globe site
