$3 LINOLEUM Covered Vintage Table Challenge.

Saw this piece at a thrift store shoved under another table. Was $3. I thought if I can't get the linoleum off I could use it in the garage for storage.

So, I went and bought a $20 heat gun to work on my $3 table and thought well now I'll have a heat gun. Wonder if I'll ever need it again, lol.

Just loved that old trim and the iron is substantial. Had to try to get that linoleum off.

Was wishing I had some fish sinners to get the slick top part of the linoleum off. Good grief. Tug and tug. Hard to keep a good grip. After it was finally off I scored the paper underneath.

Guessing in total , probably took 5 hours to heat the paper and glue and pry them up from off the wood. Definitely want to do this outside as is so messy and that paper smokes a lot when heated.

Yay! Those burnt spots are from the paper and glue getting so hot. Goodness!

Before buffalo brown paint, I had to sand the legs down as had some rust spots and then sprayed them with Rustoleum spray paint product called rust reformer.

Wanted some of Buffalo brown undercoat to show through. So, only a light coat applied. Brand used was Rustoleum. Then, blotched on some spots of Buffalo brown on top of that for distressed look.
