Make your Thanksgiving table one your family will always remember - special and with a turkey on every plate. The turkey napkin fold looks difficult, but it's not. It just takes a little longer and it requires two napkins. But, it's worth it!
Fold napkin in half and in half again.
Cut a piece of foil a little smaller than the size of the square. Place under top fold, all the way into the corner.
Place napkin in a triangle in front of you, the pointed fold away from you. Fold sides into the center, aligning the edge along the center line. It's fine that the ends aren't even. Sometimes napkins aren't exactly square.
Fold sides in again and press with hands to crease.
Fold in half, point toward the opposite end. Fold point down to form the turkey beak.
Pinch back area to form a slot to hold the feather fold to follow.
Fold your second napkin in half, then accordion pleat it to about 3 inches from the end.
Fold accordion pleats in half and triangle-fold the 3-inch extension under the first fold. (See blog post for clearer details.)
Insert feather extension into the tail feather opening.
Enjoy the turkeys on your table!
